Celebrate your future!

Congratulations to the winners and finalists for the Canada Day Challenge 2017, and thank you to all participants!

Follow the adventures of the winners on their trip to Ottawa, during the week of June 26, on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Every year, we ask young Canadians from 8 to 18 years old across Canada to submit their best, most dynamic drawings, photos or pieces of creative writing.

The Challenge is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2017, along with Canada’s 150th anniversary! Over 350,000 participants from across Canada have taken up the Challenge since 1987, and this year young Canadians were encouraged to join in and share with us their vision of the future for themselves and for Canada!

The winners will receive great prizes, including 1 of 3 all-expenses paid trip for two to Ottawa to celebrate Canada Day 2017 and the 150th celebrations on Parliament Hill: they will meet some of Canada’s most inspiring people, tour museums, galleries, the iconic Parliament Buildings and be part of a special summer exhibit at the Canadian Museum of History. Winners will get a VIP experience to the amazing Canada 150 celebrations!

Aspiring filmmakers can check out the Canada Day Video Challenge, part of Historica Canada’s Here’s My Canada contest.
