Indspire will highlight exceptional accomplishments by Indigenous people, who will tell their stories to Canadians. This cross-Canada tour will showcase the great diversity that exists in this country’s population, and engage and empower youth to participate in the movement towards reconciliation.

Reconciliation in Action

Through Reconciliation in Action: A National Engagement Strategy, Reconciliation Canada will examine and document perceptions, actions and aspirations of Canadians in relation to reconciliation. This narrative will recognize our common history, highlight current achievements and create hope for the next 150 years.

Rendez-vous 2017

More than 40 tall ships will be sailing Canadian waters to honour the 150th anniversary of Confederation in 2017. They are scheduled to stop at host ports in Ontario, Québec and the Maritimes, giving thousands of people the opportunity to admire the majestic beauty of these cathedrals of the seas. Hop on board and tour the ships… thrill to the brilliant thematic fireworks in one of the port cities...applaud the colourful parade of crew members...enjoy talented street performers...and much more!

RDV2017 is offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become a crew member on one of the tall ships. Learn how you can sail on board.

Experiences Canada 150&Me will provide hundreds of youth with an opportunity to travel and explore this country in ways they might never otherwise discover it. For thousands more, they will be given an unprecedented voice to speak to their peers, and to Canadians, about the country they want for their generation.

What is Canada's greatest challenge or opportunity facing your generation?

Answer the challenge question and you may be selected to come together with other like-minded youth for a week of cultural exploration, community action, and mentorship centered around the causes you care about most!

150 Alliance

The 150Alliance is building the biggest database of groups, individuals and organizations involved in Canada 150 projects and initiatives. This digital platform will act as a hub for all 2017 activities, featuring a cross-Canada events calendar, ongoing storytelling, continuous news feeds and a space for organizations to connect and collaborate. Community Foundations of Canada

Community Foundations of Canada is the national network for Canada’s 191 community foundations. The Community Fund for Canada 150 wishes to bring people and places together as we dream big about our communities and our country. It is a chance to encourage all Canadians to contribute to their communities in a way that will foster a greater sense of belonging, support meaningful reconciliation and leave a lasting legacy now and for future generations.
